To Write Love on Her Arms at the Change Maker Awards

Presented by the Child Mind Institute in New York, TWLOHA was honored at the 2018 Change Maker Awards. They were recognized “for their outstanding commitment to fostering open conversation, empowering self-advocates, and providing inspirational leadership to communities making change in child and adolescent mental health” upon receiving the Community Builder Award.

The annual Change Maker Awards celebrate people and organizations that are creating real, meaningful change for children struggling with mental health and learning disorders. From the professionals putting in long hours for the children and families they serve to the advocates bringing mental health awareness to the national stage, our honorees inspire us with a passion for changing the way we treat our children. This year also featured such honorees as actress Glenn Close, and California’s Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.
